For the more daring visitors, the Espluga Caves offer a visit beyond the Museum. Go up the underground river through the most unusual and amazing galleries of this cavity. Equipped with a wetsuit, helmet and light, visitors, always accompanied by two speleological guides, enter through the most genuine part of the cave until they reach the great Sala de la Biela.
During the journey, visitors will learn about the geological formation of this underground cavity, the wells that allowed its discovery, the water circuit and the trajectory of the river, the process of filtering and draining the water, the diaclases, and the Lake Gallery, a place of Iberian rituals.
