The first stage of section 3, a day that starts off flat and ends with an increase in elevation as we approach the Pre-Pyrenees. From Lleida, the route follows the course of the Segre river along the Ruta dels Llacs, crossing farmland and natural river areas to Balaguer. From here, the terrain gradually climbs towards the Àger and Montsec mountain ranges, with increasingly expansive views and a spectacular finish.
