There are various ways to have fun discovering the Torrelavit Water Interpretation Centre! First, there’s ‘Welcome to the Interpretation Centre’: a guided tour explaining the relationship between the Bitlles River and the town, and how the river has influenced and continues to influence the region. Second, ‘Discover Torrelavit’: a short walk along Torrelavit’s Carrer Major to the church of Sant Marçal, where you can discover the local history and some stories about the town. And finally, the ‘Visit to the lavoir’: learn about the old public lavoirs of Torrelavit and how people used to wash their clothing while walking along the river.
