The building of the imposing castle of Cardona began two thousand five hundred years ago, and during the Middle Ages was the residence of the Lords of Cardona. Many centuries of history are hidden within this impregnable fortress, where there is also the exceptional Sant Vicenç collegiate church, a jewel of Catalan Lombard Romanesque.
