Via Salaria – Salt Routes. Guided or self-guided. One day or 2 days: One of the most emblematic routes in the town of Cardona due to its connection with the ancient salt routes that originated from Cardona. A route that follows the ancient paths of the salt route, passing through the places that played a role in the extraction, transportation, and trade of salt in Catalonia. It passes by the Cardener River, where colonies and textile factories were established. We will reach the geodesic center of Catalonia in the 2-day option.
Two-day trip: 1st Day at Parc de l’Agulla, following the ancient Via Salaria to Cardona, 42 km. *Option for a one-day trip back to the starting point. 2nd day: Circular route to Pinós, where we will visit the Rose of the Winds, the geographical center of Catalonia, 42 km.
