This experience allows you to enjoy your stay at the Avellanes Monastery and one of Montsec’s resources of interest, such as its night sky.
The visit to the Astronomical Park of Montsec includes the guided visit to the Ull del Montsec: it is a 3D digital multimedia planetarium with a movable dome of 12 meters in diameter, where the pass of the show „“We are Stars „“ where we will discover how we and everything around us is made of the material produced inside stars. The session is completed with an explanation of the night sky and the opening of the dome in order to observe the real sky and identify some of the most outstanding objects of the night with the help of a specialized monitor.
Visit to the Telescope Park is the observation area of the Universe Observation Center where visitors will be able to learn about the various instruments there, and if time permits, observe some of the most outstanding objects of that night : the Moon, the planets, nebulae…
And the free visit to the astronomy exhibition and Starlight Room.
On a gastronomic level, you have the opportunity to enjoy and learn with the Astronomical Menu. This menu is designed by chef Bobby Cabral of Restaurant El Claustre, with the supervision of the scientific director of the Center for Observing the Universe, Salvador Ribas.
